Strawn is located in northcentral Texas where highways 16 and 108 intersect, just 3 miles north of Interstate 20.
Strawn is the southwestern most town in Palo Pinto county.
The towns of Mingus and Gordon are located to the east 5 and 8 miles away respectively.
Strawn is home to the Strawn Independent School District. SISD is a K-12 institution classified as class 1A by the
University Interscholastic League. Strawn High School competes in Six-Man football, in which it has a long and storied tradition.
